Over the course of a few weeks in late August and September 2012, Palestinians staged some of the largest demonstrations seen in the West Bank for many years. Unlike previous years, however, the focus of their anger was not Israel’s occupation, but rather the Palestinian Authority (PA), which was created as a consequence of the Oslo Accords.
