Brussels Notebook – Finally a deal, real?
After a lot of squabbling and fighting European lawmakers and member states have finally reached some kind of agreement over the European Union's next long-term budget.
The seven year budget will inject €960 billion into Europe's ailing economy over the next seven years ending in 2020. The agreement was reached in true Brussels style with a compromise of sorts, which gives everyone a chance to go back home to their electorate claiming they got just what they were gunning for.
