Donald in, Fidel gone


During his entire life, the Cuban leader stood by his anti-US policies, reiterating the value of independence and without completely trusting Obama’s intentions. 

November 2016 was a bad month for Cuba. Its “Maxi- mum Leader”, Fidel Castro, died at the age of 90. And in the “empire” that had been his enemy for decades, the citizens of the United States elected Donald Trump, who seems intent on stymieing the thawing of relations with the “Forbidden Island” brought about by Barack Obama and Cuba’s President, Raul Castro.
