Salima, an Algerian in the opposition
Journalist and writer Salima Ghezali has given us a fine account of the civil war that bathed Algeria in blood in the 1990s. She is not a favourite with the government of her country and has occasionally been accused in Europe of being too indulgent towards terrorism. A closer examination of the facts, and the many international awards she has received, show that these accusations hold little water.
