Kabul:Emerging From a Quagmire
After eight years of war, Western leaders have all but forgone any idea of 'winning' in Afghanistan. Instead, they want a way out of the country without losing face. The Obama troop surge may be the last besteffort. At the very least, the West wants to ensure it isn’t held responsible for a civil war that might arise in its absence.
