The ongoing Greek crisis has taken a currency that until recently was seen as destined to supplant the dollar as a marker for national reserves and robbed it of both its ballast and momentum. In political terms, it's time for the leaders of major European states to face the facts: They must open a new phase that emphasizes agreedupon positions so as to better face global reality.
