Haddad: Pay Attention To What Comes Next
Lebanese writer and journalist Joumana Haddad is the founding editor of the magazine “Jasad” (“The Body”), which controversially specializes in literature and arts connected to the body, including sexuality. Though Haddad is a Christian, she believes both Christianity and Islam discriminate against women. She praises recent revolts in the Arab world but worries about composition of future governments, concerned that they might fall into religious extremism that would push woman in particular from the frying pan into the fire.
