After an earthquake, nothing stirs. Brexit and Donald Trump’s electoral victory were two events of 2016 that can definitely be called watershed moments, with a before and after (still very unclear as things stand) in terms of the political future of both the United Kingdom and the United States. Although it was also framed as a political crossroads, the same cannot be said of the constitutional referendum in Italy.
