Our report is trying to establish to what extent sports are independent of politics and what can be done so they retain their independence. To answer this question we have turned to one of football’s great champions, the only living footballer, along with Antonio Cabrini, to have won every possible trophy, with both his national and club sides. Marco Tardelli doesn’t shoot from the hip. He weighs his words carefully and has very clear opinions about a world he’s known as a player, manager and executive.
