Ghannouchi – one of the 100 most influential people on the planet in 2012, according to Time magazine, describes how an interesting test case for Islam-applied democracy is developing. He also criticizes Western democracies: “a democracy that brings into power a character like Trump, could even promote a Hitler or a Mussolini”. 

When I first saw this rather unassuming character, not in the best of health and with an unsteady gait, I must admit that I had a few doubts on his capacity as an influential political leader. My misgivings were soon dispelled. In no time at all this elderly gentleman revealed the breadth of his understanding and his clarity of thought. I was face-to-face with a game-changer.
