The Tehran Project –  In order to halt Iran in its race towards the atomic bomb, the United States government has built “a secret replica of Iran’s nuclear facilities”, according to an article published in The New York Times. Located inside the national nuclear reservations of Oak Ridge, in the Southern state of Tennessee, the structure utilises giant centrifuges — some of which were delivered over ten years ago by Libya, while others were built expressly for the replica — to help scientists determine the “best reasonable” estimates of Tehran’s capabilities to build the bomb within diverse scenarios.

The Times article further describes a plan that involves all nine of the country’s atomic laboratories, in various capacities, in what they call a “Manhattan Project in reverse”.
