The Rt Hon Sir Malcolm Rifkind is considered one of the UK’s most respected political commentators. He became a Member of the Cabinet in 1986 as secretary of State for Scotland. In 1990 he became Minister of Transport, in 1992 Secretary of State for Defence. From 1995-97 he was Foreign Secretary. He was one of only four ministers to serve throughout the whole Prime Ministerships of both Margaret Thatcher and John Major. In 1997 he was knighted in recognition of his public service.
The Hon Bernard Jenkin has been an MP since 1992, and was elected as Chairman of the Public Administration Committee in May 2010, which scrutinises “good government” across Whitehall. He has served on the House of Commons Defence Committee, and speaks and writes extensively about defence matters. He is also Chairman of the All Party Group on Homeland Security, and for an informal group supporting a Thames Estuary Airport. He is a member of the Executive of the 1992 Committee of backbench Conservatives MPs. Giuseppe Scognamiglio is a diplomat, manager and journalist. Since December 2010, he is Management Board member and Executive Vice President for Group Institutional & Regulatory Affairs of UniCredit. Since January 2013 he is Chairman of Editorial Company “EuropEye”, which publishes the bimonthly magazine of International Policy and Economy “Eastwest”, distributed across 3 continents in 23 countries, of which he has been appointed Editor in January 2016.
