FALSE
In an article in the Daily Telegraph, former British Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson wrote that the ‘No Deal’ solution comes closest to the idea of Brexit that was voted for in 2016. At the time however, the conditions for the United Kingdom’s exit from the European Union had not yet been finalised. Spain’s government has most women of all OECD countries
TRUE
In his end of year speech the president of the Spanish government, the socialist Pedro Sànchez, claimed that his cabinet “had the most women of all OECD countries”. It is true, the Madrid government has 67.4% of women and therefore tops the ranks of all Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) member states, ahead of France (52.9%), Sweden (52.2%) and Canada (51.7%). In the previous Spanish government, headed by the People’s party, the percentage of women was just 38.5%. The OECD average is instead 27.9%.
