Too few British bankers The history of Europe, some say, has been dominated by Germany’s position within the continent, but as far as the EU is concerned Britain’s position within the Union is increasingly dominating the conversation.
Announcing his proposed College of Commissioners, Jean-Claude Juncker, said he hoped that with Jonathan Hill as Commissioner for Financial Services: “Perhaps our UK friends will better understand Commission policies if explained in the language of Shakespeare.”
